What is a Guardian Home?

A Guardian Home is where a Gold Diamond Pup dog lives full-time as a loved family pet while remaining part of our breeding program for an agreed period. This program is an alternative to kennel-based breeding and is designed for people who value raising dogs in a true home environment. It’s a long-term partnership, not a temporary placement, built on trust, clear communication, and shared values, with the goal of supporting ethical, home-raised dogs from start to finish.

How does it work?

Phase 1
Guardian Home Placement

The dog transitions care from the breeder to the guardian. They live full-time in the Guardian Home as a loved companion.

Phase 2
Breeding Partnership

Gold Diamond Pup retains breeding rights for an agreed program term.

Phase 3
Ownership Transfer

After the breeding commitment is fulfilled, the program concludes with the dog being spayed or neutered (when required) and legal ownership transferring in full to the Guardian Home.

Is a Guardian Home Right for You?

Guardian Homes are a key part of how we raise dogs in real family environments. To protect our dogs and keep the program smooth, we only accept applicants who meet the criteria below. We’re looking for Guardian Homes who genuinely support our program and values. If you strongly disagree with responsible breeding or you’re not comfortable with the commitment, this won’t be the right fit, and that’s completely okay.

Location and Home Fit
  • Must love dogs
  • Stable home environment
  • Within about 1 to 2 hours of Seffner, Florida
  • Comfortable providing routine, structure, and basic training
Communication and Alignment
  • Supportive of our mission and approach
  • Willing to communicate openly and consistently
  • Understands the breeding commitment and expectations
  • Comfortable following planned breeding timelines
Logistics and Transportation
  • Ability to transport the dog to required appointments, including:
  • Health testing
  • Breeding appointments
  • Planned program-related stays
Not a Whelping Role

Guardian Homes do not whelp puppies.

No Experience Required

No prior breeding experience is required.
